Doom the Comfort Zone....
"Move out of your comfort zone. You can only grow if you are willing to feel awkward and uncomfortable when you try something new"- Brian Tracy.
So for my freshmen and sophomore year of College my friends and I went to different schools. At first I was nervous because I didn't know what to expect with going to a different college that was especially so far away. I attended William Paterson University in Wayne New Jersey and because it was so far away from my house I had no choice but to reside on campus. The majority of my friends went to Rutgers New Brunswick or Rutgers Newark. When I got to Willy p. I hated it, I wanted to transfer the next semester and it was only my first semester. I wanted to go to Rutgers also but things didn't workout for me financially at the moment. Going to the same school that my friends went to, would've been more fun. I kept thinking about all of the parties we'd be able to go to together and all the sleepovers we'd be able to have. Going to a different school and stepping out of my comfort zone was not what I wanted to do. I didn't really have much of a summer because William Paterson required incoming freshmen to complete a rigorous summer program in order to proceed into freshmen year. After I completed EOF (Educational Opportunity Fund) program and begun living the college life I realized that meeting new people wasn't so bad after all. Getting out of our comfort zone can really benefit us in the long run. I chose to go to a college where I didn't know anyone, and it turned out awesome!. I excelled in my studies at William Paterson and met some great people that I'm still very much close with today. I consider William Paterson my first real college experience and now that I'm here at Rutgers University, the school that I wanted to go to in the first place, I miss it. Just being away from the people that I was comfortable around and close with actually helped me succeed. Moral of this story is, in the end college is just as much about succeeding outside of the classroom as it is inside of the classroom.

I like your conversational tone throughout the writing. I also think that your choice of topic was good for the audience in class. I think that this topic also applies to a broad audience outside of class, like other college students. I think that including more information on your decision to switch to Rutgers would help to make this post stronger. You said that in the end you decided that William Paterson wasn't that bad, so including more information about your transferring of schools would help the reader to understand your point better.
